Hello! I am Katie. I am 19 and a sophomore at Stony Brook University. I am a Biology, Pre-Med major with a minor in Business but I have a passion for baking.

I am starting this blog as a creative outlet and something fun to do in my stressful life. My favorite teacher Ms.McCue created the name KatieKakes for the future bakery she hopes I will open.

You might be wondering… What is the blog about?

It is going to be all things baking. I plan on writing how to’s, reviews, and Friday Favorites. Friday Favorites are going to be my favorites of things relating to baking such as, local bakeries, tools, and ingredients.  My best friend’s sister, Carissa, is also going to post in Carissa’s Corner.

I have so many ideas that I can’t wait to share with you. I plan to post at least twice a week but hopefully more often. If anyone has suggestions about what to bake or talk about let me know in the comments.
