National Cheesecake Day: Classic Cheesecake
This week I though I would make two types of cheesecake because NATIONAL CHEESECAKE DAY IS THURSDAY JULY 30TH. Cheesecake is one of my favorite desserts. I love a rich, creamy cheesecake with a buttery graham cracker crust. My favorite recipe is Martha Stewart’s Classic Cheesecake.

Lemon Raspberry Cupcakes
I have to make a confession… I don’t like summer. When you ask most people what their favorite season is 9 out of 10 times you will get summer. I love Autumn 🍁 and Winter ❄. While I don’t love summer, I do love summer fruit especially raspberries. My favorite combination is lemon and any kind of berry.
Friday Favorites
Sorry it has been so long. I just started summer classes and it has been a whirlwind.
This is my first Friday’s Favorite that may end up being uploaded on Saturday.
Anyway in my spa
re time I like love watching YouTube videos. One of my favorite daily vlogers is the SacconeJolys. The wife Anna is always baking and her cupcakes look delicious. I was dying to know what cookbook she was using. To my knowledge she has never stated it but in one vlog I was able to read the corner. It says Keep Calm and Bake Cupcakes. As soon as I could I ordered it from Amazon.

When I first got it I was skeptical because I am devoted to Martha Stewart recipes. I tried one recipe and feel in love. My favorite part is it only makes a few cupcakes. So far I the fewest is 6 and the most is 12. It is great because when I am baking for just my family I don’t need 24 cupcakes. All these recipes make just the right perfect amount. The cookbook is broken down in to categories that make it easy to find the perfect cupcake.
The recipes are simple and easy to follow. I have tried making Chocolate Sunday Cupcakes and Chocolate Banana Muffins. My family and friends loved them.
The downside is the weird measurements because of the smaller yield and the use of superfine sugar. I have not been able to find any in the supermarket. Instead I put regular sugar in my food processor and grind it until fine. Otherwise, it is an amazing cookbook and I can’t wait to try more!
